22 Years in the making

Match day rituals

Jolene Arsenal

This coming Sunday 31st May, North London will come together to celebrate Arsenal F.C. becoming Premier League Champions for the first time in 22 years — a moment generations of supporters have been waiting for. And with a Champions League final still on the horizon, fingers crossed there may yet be even more to celebrate!

As the streets fill and the colourscape of North London turns unmistakably red and white, we’ll all be raising a glass to the players, staff, and supporters who have made this season such a special one. From unforgettable nights at the Emirates to nervy away days and late winners that had the whole of our neighbourhood roaring, it’s been a campaign that has brought people together in the best possible way.

Over the years, many of our restaurants and bakeries have become a familiar part of the match day ritual for Arsenal supporters. Whether it’s coffee and pastries before kick-off, a long lunch before a match, or a celebratory dinner with friends and family, we’ve loved being part of the routines and traditions that make football in North London so unique.

To everyone who has supported us alongside supporting the club — thank you! And to those discovering us for the first time this season, we look forward to welcoming you through our doors.

So to all Arsenal fans: Congratulations on an extraordinary achievement! Enjoy every moment, sing every song a little louder, and celebrate a team that has given North London so much to be proud of. Here’s hoping there’s even more still to come.

Jolene Newington Green, Hornsey Road, Redchurch Street and Bridle Lane will be open as usual throughout the day, with Westerns Laundry running a special all-day service from 12pm–8pm for the occasion.

We still have a handful of tables available, so please follow the link to book and join us for what promises to be a memorable day of celebrations.
